The baby is moving around like crazy right now, so I thought I would take this opportunity to talk about her/him. Lots of little things have been happening lately. For example, I've been getting extremely bad gas pains after I eat dinner. I don't know if it's just a coincidence that it happens after dinner, but it never happens after breakfast or lunch. It's hard to describe how it feels, but I guess it's kinda like my stomach it pumped full of air and all my organs are being smushed. And it just hurts. When this happens it hurts to be sitting to I have to stand up and walk around.
About a year ago I went through a month where I would get leg cramps in my calf in the middle of the night. I'm talking about waking up to excruciating pain in my leg that takes my breathe away. It happened several times within that month, but then not again since. So yesterday one of my pregnancy apps was talking about how getting these was pretty common during pregnancy. I stated to Phil that I thought it was odd that I hadn't had one this whole pregnancy. So naturally I woke up to my first one last night. Super Ouch.
Headaches still occasionally. Nothing I can't manage.
The last few nights I've been experiencing some mild pregnancy insomnia. Sometimes it takes up to 2 hours to fall asleep. The worst part is that I feel tired which makes it very frustrating. Then I end up sleeping in a little later which only makes it harder to fall asleep the next night. It's a viscous cycle. Also, I wake up on my back several times a night because it's super uncomfortable and sometimes straight up hurts. I think I'm just so used to sleeping on my back that my body does it automatically. Hopefully as my belly gets heavier I will just stay on my side.
Sometime this week, we will find out the sex of our baby. Stay tuned to find out!!
