29 Weeks 4 days

I haven't done a real update in a while so I figured it was time. I was supposed to have a prenatal appointment on Tuesday but they called and canceled because there was someone at the Birth Center in labor. I guess since they only have 2 Midwives right now that's just what they have to do. It's a little frustrating but it's still very worth it to go there apposed to a clinic. My appointment was moved to tomorrow, and I am a little nervous about weight gain. At my last appointment I was super happy with the amount that I gained, but since then I haven't been working out as much cause I don't have my gym membership anymore, and Thanksgiving happened. So yeah, you know what that means.

My latest symptoms have been lower back pain and hip pain when I sleep. The lower back pain usually only happens if I overexert myself with stuff like housework. The hip pain is simply because I have to sleep on my sides every night. It hasn't happened every night but it's getting more frequent and it wakes me up a lot. I feel bad for Phil cause I am constantly flipping from side to side. The other night he said, "I thought you were going to punch me!"

If the hip thing continues or gets worse, I'm going to have to sleep semi upright since I can't sleep on my back; either in our recliner chair or use a ton of pillows in bed. That way there isn't constant pressure on either of my hips. I know a lot of women who sleep like that when they get heartburn to so maybe that will help ward it off. The thought of sleeping in the living room away from Phil is very unappealing though.

Still get headaches here and there which is really no fun cause at the point that I have one there's not much I can do to get rid of it. I will only take Tylenol if I get it at the beginning of the day, but generally I get them in the evening and then I just deal with them till I go to bed.

The other day I was putting my Palmer's Cocoa Butter on my belly and Phil says, "There's something on your stomach." as he points somewhere on my belly that I am practically incapable of seeing. I pushed my belly in and hunched over to see what he was talking about and there it was....a stretch mark. I knew this day would come but it still shocked me a little. I also thought it was funny that I had a few of them but was totally unaware because I can hardly see down there! There's like 5-8 little ones under my bellybutton and then one random big on on the side.

Her movements have just continued to get stronger and more amazing. Before it was just little thumps, and now it's full movements across my whole belly. Sometimes I can feel a knee or a foot. When I get a Braxton Hicks contraction, my whole stomach goes rock hard so my uterus is super formed around her, and if her body is mainly on one side, my stomach will get super lopsided. Here's a picture from the other night when that happened.

As you can see, she prefers the left side of my belly. Oh and I found out that my bellybutton hole is still fully open. I had it for about 5 years so I guess it was fully healed but I thought maybe it would grow shut. Not that it really matters cause it may look super weird when my belly goes down and I probably won't wear a ring in it anymore. We'll see. That's all for now!!
