Shout-out

Today my post is dedicated to giving credit to one of my amazing friends who helped me immensely yesterday. The room that the nursery will be going into was being used as an office/storage/Phil's dressing room, and it was just a disaster.

I knew I would need to go through everything to sort it out and clean the whole room out eventually, but I didn't have much motivation since we still have over 5 months left. My wonderful friend Victoria came over to help and basically forced me to start this big project, which I am very grateful for! Sometimes I need that little shove and she was the perfect person to help. She loves to clean and she is very organized so she just kinda directed everything and I went through box after box, separating everything into piles.

So I can say the nursery is one step closer to actually being a nursery, and that is very exciting!! So here are some "Before" and "Middle" pictures, since "After" pictures won't be till the nursery is complete.

I can't even believe we did all this in one day! (Oh and we also did about 5 loads of laundry and organized the bathroom closet. Did I mention that Victoria is amazing?)

This badly needed to be done too. All Vic.
So there it is! Basically once we get a crib we will move the desk out and the crib will go right there. We will also probably get a seperate dresser for baby's stuff since the one that is in there has all of Phil's clothes. (We don't have room in our bedroom for both of our clothes)

Victoria, Phil, and I went to Home Depot when Phil got home from work so we could go pick out some paint swatches. We obviously don't know the sex of the baby yet but we came up with the color that we want to paint the walls which will be the same for either boy or girl, and then we would just be changing the accent color.

I haven't really decided if I'm going to reveal my plans for the nursery or just let it be a complete surprise. I think I might end up just giving little snippets or sneak peaks here and there as we work in it.

P.S. I also have to give a shout-out to one of my other amazing friends, Miranda. She has not only done dishes for me when I was nauseous and let the dishes go for so long I couldn't handle the smell, she also cleaned my bathroom at one point. You know a true friend when she scrubs your toilet for you. I am so blessed to be surrounded by some amazing friends who go above and beyond to help me when I need it and to share in the joy of this experience.
