Nemo and Simba

Last night Phil and I finally got to Babies R Us to register. I was excited to go but I was a little worried Phil wouldn't be as thrilled. Turned out that as long as he had the scanner in his hand he was happy. I told him a few weeks ago that I was fine with going without him but if he wanted to have a say, I would be thrilled to have him go with me. I wanted him to feel included but at the same time not force him to do something he didn't want to.

I don't remember ever going to Babies R Us so when I first walked in, I probably looked like a deer in headlights. Honestly it was a little overwhelming at first, even for ME (the baby fanatic). Once we got going and started scanning things it was a lot of fun. Talking about our girl, what she might like or not like, dreaming about having all this stuff and using it in our home.

If you go look at our registry you can probably hand pick the items that Phil put on there. I decided to be really lenient with those things cause I wanted him to be able to get excited. He had some sort of affinity for anything Finding Nemo and Simba.

At one point I was walking and thought Phil was behind me but turned around and he wasn't there. I walked back and he was in the isle scanning something and I said, "Hey what are you doing?"

He was trying to secretly scan this behind my back....

I laughed. Thankfully I think Simba is not only adorable but also non-gender specific. Most of the other stuff is girly so I was willing to compromise.

This was another one of his picks...

It took us a solid two hours from start to finish, and by the end we were both exhausted. Now I can't wait for all the showers to start!
