Today i'm making myself sit down and read.
The book I am reading is one that my Mom says is the main reason her labors were so easy and fast. Moms the word, right?
It's called "Childbirth Without Fear" and it focuses on relaxing your whole body through contractions and not being at all tense or anxious. Being fearful in and of itself can change the way labor goes because it naturally makes you tense, but if you can relax your body and muscles then your contractions will do what they need to do to push the baby out. Tensing your body can often counteract a contraction.
I don't know how much of my "birth plan" I've written about on here but I will be delivering at a Birth Center where there is zero option for any pain meds. I will do a whole post on this later cause I have a lot of reasons for choosing this path.
Since I'm getting a little closer to the birth I've been doing a lot of thinking about labor. I like to read/watch other birth stories about natural childbirth because I feel like it helps me prepare for what could possibly happen, even though there's no way to really know at all how my birth will go.
If anyone has specific questions to ask me about my birth plan that you're just curious about you can comment on my Facebook links and I will include that in my Birth Plan post.
P.S. Look, 100 days and counting!----------------------------------------->
