Baby Name Reveal

Abigail Renee Holmer
I specifically remember the day that I decided I wanted a daughter named Abigail. I was at The Grand Old Creamery, the ice cream shop that my family always went to when celebrating (graduations, plays, good grades, birthdays). We were sitting there eating our ice cream and there was a woman with an adorable little baby in a car seat. My Mom must have asked what the baby's name was because I distinctly remember her name being Abigail Clair. From that moment on I wanted an Abigail. Renee is Phil's Mom's middle name, but I also just happen to think it's a beautiful name.

When I was a little girl, I would say my trademark was jelly sandals. I was obsessed with them and wore them constantly. My Mom now collects mini glass shoes and wanted a shoe for each of her kids that reminds her of us, and of course mine is a little pink jelly sandal.

I can't remember exactly how old I was but it had to have been around age 15-17 when I found that pair of pink, sparkly, jelly sandals (pictured at the top) and I just had to buy them. I didn't know if I ever would have a daughter, but I knew that if I did she had to have them. They have been hanging from a ribbon in each of my bedrooms since I bought them many years ago, and it is a dream come true that I will finally get my Abigail in pink jelly sandals.

P.S. There is about a 5% chance that she will come out and we will think, "you don't look like an Abigail." We have a few backup names, but since this name has such a strong history for me since I was little, I really don't see that happening.
